I Owe My Mental Health to the Bethlehem Baby

I Owe My Mental Health to the Bethlehem Baby

God’s Word healed me from depression and bipolar disorder.

That Word was born in Bethlehem.

John 1:14
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

At Christmas, I celebrate the day when my God came to earth to not only save me from my sins, but also to heal me and deliver me from the oppression of mental illness.

Luke 4:18-19
“The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
  because he has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to set the oppressed free,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

Through His Word, I have found hope, peace, and truth. And I am grateful.
